Red River Valley Catfish Club Membership- $25 per season
Wednesday Night League Rules
1. The Red River Valley Catfish Club is not responsible for injuries, damages and/or loss of any kind.
2. All league and tournament fisherpersons must be a member of the Red River Valley Catfish Club to participate in the weekly league.
3. Each club member will get ONE free pass for a guest partner per season. Each member will be given a "FREE PASS" card when they bring a guest they hand in the card with their name and the name of their guest.
4. Teams may have guests as extra anglers but are still limited to (4) lines and a one team fish total. MUST BE TWO MEMBERS IN THE BOAT.
5. Entry Fee is $15 per boat. Teams are made up of one (1) or two (2) anglers with a maximum of two (2) lines with one angler and four (4) lines with teams of two.
6. Maximum number of fish that can be weighed in is two (2). Maximum number of fish on board is two (2) and by law culling fish is prohibited. If fishing alone as a team of one (1) you can only weigh in one big fish and one slot (under 24") fish.
7. Wednesday Night League fishing times are 6:00 to 9:00 pm
8. Boats may take off at 5:00pm after they are registered. ABSOLUTELY NO FISHING UNTIL 6:00. If you see someone fishing before 6:00 please take a photo and text to Brad or Bruce.
9. Weigh-In deadline is 9:00pm. You are responsible to be at the weigh in before that time.
10. Slot Fish must be 24" or less. (measurement based on longest total length.)
11. Maximum number of boats for Wednesday League is 45
12. All participants must abide by all state and local regulations. NEW: NO WAKE for Kayaks! Violators will be disqualified and could be suspended or even banned from the league.
13. Participants may only use one single hook per line. No treble, stinger or smelt hooks allowed
14. Fish must be carried to the weigh-in point in suitable containers. ANGLERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE CONTAINERS TO TRANSPORT FISH! IF NOT IN A PROPER CONTAINER THE FISH WILL NOT BE WEIGHED. Anglers are responsible for keeping fish healthy and make sure they are released back to the river safely. Unhealthy or dead fish will not be allowed at weigh in.
15. League participants are expected to follow sportsmanship standards, be courteous to other river users and exercise safety and conservation. League committee reserves the right to disqualify.
16. Boats must slow down and allow adequate space between fishing boats and shore anglers. NO WAKE APPLIES.
17. All league rules must be followed to avoid disqualification of any participants
18. All decisions made by the Red River Valley Catfish League are FINAL.
19. Entry fees collected each night will be paid out as follows: 20% will be retained for league and permit costs.
a. If 10 or more boats-
1st- 50%
2nd- 30%
b. If under 10 boats-
1st- 80%
c. If 25 or more boats-
1st- 50%
2nd- 20%
3rd- 10%
20. In the case of not enough fish being weighed to determine a winner prizes will be drawn.
21. All boats must be equipped with live wells capable of holding up to a 40-inch catfish. No stringers allowed
22. Participants must provide right of ingress/egress for non-participating anglers
23. All fish must be boated to the weigh in access
24. All teams must fish from a boat
25. The Red River Valley Catfish Club reserves the right to change rules as needed for the good of the league
26. The Red River Valley Catfish Club reserves the right to cancel league at our discretion (Watch Facebook for up to the minute announcements. https://www.facebook.com/rrvcatfish or by text.
